Obedience

Obedience Trials are open to any registered dog. The idea of Obedience Trials is to demonstrate the usefulness of the dog as the companion and guardian of man. Trials are run in Victoria from March through to November, with trials running most weekends during that time. There are four levels, increasing in complexity: Encouragement, Novice, Open and Utility.  Trials are conducted by Obedience Clubs and also some Breed Clubs which run Restricted Trials, eg. Gundogs. Dogs are tested individually, under the control of a Judge, and then also in a group for stays.

Should you be interested in obedience training with your GSP, please contact one of our Committee Members Kerry Winters on 0408 381 107 for more information.
